NYCC FUNDING

North Yorkshire County Council provides funding for all three and four year old children. Each child is entitled to 15 hours FREE childcare to be taken over 2 or more days. You will be asked to fill in a form every term by the Staff to receive this funding for your child and are also asked to sign a “Parents in Partnership Agreement” at the beginning of the funding period. The funded hours can be taken in blocks over the two or more days to include Lunch Club.

From September 2013, children from families meeting the criteria for free school meals and 'looked after' children, will be eligible for a funded place from the age of 2 years.

All children from the age of two are entitled to 15 hours funding if the parent works.
